Yes. The stores have doubled the prices of produce around here. The meat is a lot higher too. They stopped having sales the way they used to do.

I'm further west in NJ. Sales have stopped but I haven't seen prices rise yet... Chicken is hard to come by but other meats are ok.. For a while milk was hard to find and we opened one of our stocks of powdered milk. The other day it was well stocked. Seems that stock is touch and go for only certain items.... and it changes week to week. Three weeks ago it wasn't milk but tortillas... huh?

I hope it doesn't get to what you are seeing.

I've always cooked what was on sale... rarely ever go the store with a particular meal in mind. So it wasn't much of a transition of a mindset to cook was available. When this all started there was a run on a lot of stuff.... I noticed that canned whole artichokes were plentiful and price right as well as cheese... so we had spinach (frozen) artichoke dip and spinach/artichoke pizza for a couple meals... yum!

I noticed that as well, and no sales of any kind. I see plenty of chicken but no ground beef, which is at a whopping price of $3.99/pound, and no pork.

Still no flour, pasta, rice, or beans; no cleaning supplies at all, no paper products.

Fresh produce is plentiful. Might be a good time to eat nothing but fruits and vegetables.
