Russia has a death rate per million people of 4. Mexico is at 9. Both are countries with a significant population, major metro areas (Mexico City is one of the largest cities on the planet). Both have significant international travel. While they are at 4 and 9, we (US) are at 158. With New York state over 1000. And we had a record day of new cases today.

What are they doing right, that we aren't?

I would think it'd be pretty obvious.

Report whatever numbers you want to drive the narrative that you wish.

BOOM, you're welcome.

What Russia and Mexico are doing, is very little testing for Covid 19. And they are under-reporting the number of cases they've had, which has concealed the true incidence of the disease in their countries. This is a time-bomb, which will burst on them, before long.

Hint:
In the U.S., hospitals are recording ALL suspected flu or coronavirus deaths as Covid-19 deaths, even those that were never tested. Many of those old age deaths might be due to other strains of coronavirus, like the common cold.

That is what I was thinking. They are not reporting every death as Covid-19.

Mexico is very low, but Russia's testing per capita is higher than the U.S. and most other countries according to Worldometer.

Russia is a good two weeks behind the US. They just started up the steep part of the curve after April 1. It takes a while for the deaths to catch up.

I wouldn't believe the numbers coming out of Russia anymore than face-saving China.

The American Enterprise Institute's Derek Scissors pegs the number of actual cases in China at 2.9 Million out of a population of 1.4 Billion. Myself, I think the 2.9 Million figure is a low figure.

Russia? To make themselves look good?????????????

Now Mexico, being they're a little less corrupt than the U.S., I'd trust those figures.
