Jan 9: the first death in China from coronavirus

Jan 14: The WHO sent a tweet which said "preliminary investigations conducted by the Chinese authorities have found no clear evidence of human-to-human transmission of the novel coronavirus (2019-nCoV) identified in Wuhan, China." According to Reuters in Geneva, WHO said there may have been limited human-to-human transmission of a new coronavirus in China within families, and it is possible there could be a wider outbreak. On 14 January, The Wuhan Municipal Health Committee published a Q&A regarding the coronavirus, stating: "current investigation hasn't found clear evidence of human to human transmission, however, the possibility of human to human transmission cannot be ruled out."

So if blame is to be placed on the WHO, how many days did the WHO delay Trump's response? Would he have considered banning all travelers from China and not just people with Chinese passports? Would he have considered testing all travelers in arriving at U.S. airports who had been in China in the previous two weeks? Would he have instructed the CDC and FDA earlier to give top priority to developing a test and to prepare to ramp up testing capacity. How much sooner would the issue of PPE supplies been addressed?

1. they said there's no "clear" evidence of human to human transmission. don't misquote them to your argument's benefit. if you've studied any amount of science, you don't just release definitive statements unless you have evidence to back it up.
2. subsequently, they also said that human transmission is a concern when it comes to respiratory illnesses.

We lead the world in deaths. We messed up big time. Under Trump’s watch. South Korea got the same information from WHO as we did.

"Uh uhhh the virus may come back in the fall and we may need to shutdown again...or extend the shutdown.....or it might go away....errr....idk but BRAD PITT PLAYED ME ON SNL GUYS!"
You have to remember, Fauci speaks on behalf of the US Govt...naturally there are details about this he can and cannot talk about, being vague is one way they keep people hopeful and compliant...

If Fauci were to stand up tomorrow and tell everyone the virus is going to hit us hard in Sept and we should expect to keep things closed for 4-8 months...how do you think the public would respond to that? LOL

While our govt is scrambling to find a solution...they also have to maintain control and order, I assume half or more of their speeches are directed at the latter, Govt has to keep people hopeful (even when its not due).
