TL;DR

but you're not seeing the numbers because we don't have 300 million test kits available

and even if we did, we could only do a few hundred thousand per day, which would take forever.

There have only been 4 million tests done in USA last I checked.

which means you're missing data on 320+ million.

lack of data. But the virus and its mechanism of action is not BS

Bob, what you're describing is exactly what I'm seeing - most of those people at home depot have the virus. Many of your clients do as well. Maybe you do.

Now - catching it from "contact" is not the preferred method of the bug. So wash your hands / don't touch your face is still worth something - but if your impression was: Sick person has it - sick person touches keypad - YOU touch keypad - now you have it - it does not work that way.

If you are "near" someone, within a few feet, and they are sick (symptoms or not) and they're breathing your way - that's a good way to catch it. If they cough or sneeze, so much the better...to catch it. It's a respiratory infection - and it makes its living going in that way - mouth, nose, eyes. As most folks have pointed out - most of your customers - who have a case - probably would not know it. Most people do not know it. This is not surprising.

Main thing to do - in that situation - if you're vulnerable - send someone else. If you must go - no big deal, just try to avoid being right next to folks, and wash your hands when you leave (before you touch your face). That's it.

Of course I don't believe everything I'm told, the experts don't even agree! What we have now are the politicians and media (dumbest, most corrupt people on the planet) deciding who's right and who's wrong so I DEFINITELY can't totally believe everything...about anything.

You also have to factor in though, politicians have to keep people hopeful (even when its not due), they also have to always be maintaining control and order, the second this gets away from them, they have mass panics, runs on the banks, etc...

So, its more likely that a politician is going to lie right to your face, (considering they have other priorities).

Its NOT the scientists job to maintain law and order, or to keep people hopeful, I trust them to give the real facts more so than anyone else.

Not true.

There are veterinary vaccines for cronaviruses.

Do you think that a "spa" is a good place for people with COVID-19 to congregate?

Edited to add: proper protective equipment was not being used.

Not necessarily. Those of us of a logical, scientific persuasion realize science is not perfect but it strives to be. There are always unknowns and assumptions made that are not always true or perfect but chasing truth is the goal. If we didn't , we would still be blood letting people with leaches.
