Glad to see it. At least some countries are smart.

Assault rifles have full auto capability.

Nobody in the US can just go buy one regardless of what you or any other country's citizens are told by their media or politicians.

It's a whole additional set of laws, gov't record keeping, back round checks and thousands of dollars to even pursue obtaining one.

It is to those who either don't know any better, just don't want to know any better or don't not want civilians to have firearms.

Funny you should ask that question. Those people keep on shaking their heads and asking the exact same question about you people.

What is wrong with you that would cause you to get so unreasonably upset with other countries' policies and ideals that have no effect on you? It doesn't make any sense.

Are you upset because people in other countries reject your violent beliefs? Maybe you should just mind your own business and stop thinking about trying to impose your own unwelcome violent policies and ideals on other countries.

I support all gun restrictions as long as they are reciprocal on the government. If I can’t carry a hand gun in public, neither can the cops. If I can’t have more than 5 bullets in a magazine, neither can any national guard or federal troops stationed in my state. Applies also to ATF, FBI... all those alphabet soup agencies. Deal?

Maybe it's different in Canada in that hey are legally obligated?

I don't consider such bans effective but either way, their country, their rules.

On another note I really like their border control/immigration policies. The gold standard, IMO whereas we're still thinking in late 19th century.

Simply saying I stand against it will suffice. When a mugger puts a luger in your rib cage as you walk down the street you can surely see the distinction of giving him the wallet vs consenting to the act, no?

So again, I ask you as an individual (not a government or a corporation) do you believe an involuntary 3rd party has the right to infringe upon he right of someone to own property as well as the freedom of association and movement?
you are conflating different issues now.

a mugger holding me up is robbery, theft, extortion, etc. and is illegal. that is not debatable and not the same as what we are discussing.

asking me to stand up against some other country's attempt to take away gun ownership, because you're projecting your own values on them, is no where near the same thing.

why do you think you have a say in how they run their country? how do you even know they are against the proposed law? what if that's something their citizens actually want?

if this happens in my state, or my country, then I will stand up against it. I believe in the right to armed, self defense because I will not rely on the government to be there in my time of need.
I do not stand for meddling in other people's business.
what part of that don't you get?
