I can't wait for liberals to be blamed for years to come for this monetary fiasco passed by Trump and a Republican legislature.
That’s an inevitability.

It feels a lot like we're living under socialism-and it SUCKS hard. The socialist proponents need to get the F out of the way, let businesses open and let people make a living. We are feeling more like Venezuela every day-not just with the economic failure, but with elected leaders enjoying their newfound power entirely too much, and becoming more and more disconnected from the peasants.
I don't know about you, but I've had quite enough of my sample of socialism.
I think so. As the economy begins to decline more and more, the government will feel pressure to implement programs that won’t be easy to phase out once this tempest is over. And as it turns out, some very wealthy people see serious problems ahead if unemployment reaches critical mass and the wealthy come off as looking unscathed.
Let’s face it...if we have tens of millions of unemployed, socialism in a heavy dosage is inevitable. It took the Republican Party almost 50 years to dismantle the New Deal, so I can totally understand their fears. It’ll be much harder to dismantle it next time because there’s no bipartisanship anymore at any level.
If things keep going the way they are, I agree with Mark Cuban that there will be a raise in minimum wage, a guaranteed federal jobs program to get people back to work, and I’ll just throw this one in: national health care with a public option.
So maybe some good will come out of this cataclysm. And Democrats shouldn’t shirk from the opportunity to implement those things pronto!
My brother and his wife are about to lose their small business they built with their life savings and lay off all 15 employees.
But I am going to tell my brother that the reason he wants to reopen his business ASAP is because he is afraid of socialism, right?
"Rising calls for socialism" are irrelevant to me. I'd like to avoid a depression. Nobody here was alive during the last one, and I don't think many realize what it would actually mean for them.

It's the stripping of Constitutional rights of speech, religion, assembly, public protest and stopping people from making the money they need to feed themselves and their children that's got me riled up. This is in direct conflict with our rights. Government Authoritarianism has to be controlled.
On a practical front, my daughter and son in law have a salon and have been shut down for 2 months with no income and mounting bills and no end in the illegal shut down in sight. They have gone from not political to joining the civil protests in our area and planning to vote Republican next election.
Nope, haven't gotten it yet. Still waiting-but I never expect government to be efficient. Especially when it comes to returning a little of my money to me.

We even did our taxes early and owed. I would be ok with getting some of my taxes back.

That’s got nothing to do with me.

Point is that you’re gonna be giddy when you get it just like the socialists you despise so much. Lol

Seems like you are cheering on poverty and dire circumstances so people can be forced to rely on the government for employment and health care? All so you can feel like you won some political ideology war?
