To play devil's advocate though, VP is kind of weak position that nobody pays much attention to by comparison to the Presidential candidate. And it sounds pretty likely that the "Reade affair" was a real thing based on what I have read about it. The level of scrutiny rises exponentially.
There needs to be a statute of limitations on this "inapprorpriately touched nonsense" Reporting it 200 years after the fact is ridiculous much less getting a bill of indictment on it.
And how can be proved beyond a reasonable doubt that someone touched your private parts 40 decades ago? Gimme a break
