it has nothing to do with gender it is about the money . if woman want equality then they need to generate as much revenue as the men do and right now it aint happening.
Perhaps the USWNT should be split off into a separate organization (US Women's Soccer Federation) and stop mooching off the men? Whatever they make, they keep.

the womens' team do not generate as much revenue from fans, tickets, etc. as the male sports team, therefore, they are not worth as much monetarily.
One of the key arguments by the USSF that persuaded the judge's ruling is that the women are already getting paid more than the men. The women's argument is that they would have made even more had their CBA had been structured the same as the men's CBA. However, the women's compensation structure was drawn up at a time where there was no professional domestic league; they took the route of a lower-risk, salary-based payout scheme (as opposed to the men, who get paid based on call-ups, game appearances, and USMNT wins).
