Maybe that's because if you really drilled down into the details, you'd (finally) realize just how much you've been lied to. Case in point: you used the word "insurrection." That's equivalent to announcing that you've been brainwashed.

The folks who are now serving prison sentences or those who will be would probably disagree with you. Hopefully those idiots won't ever be able to own a gun again.
The only people who supported the January 6 insurrection are those who went in and stormed the Capitol Building.
Most, if not all, of them are in prison now. So, what political influence do they have?
There are still Republicans, even those in Congress, who still have no problem with what happened that day. Look at Trump, wanting to pardon them all if he is re-elected. What does that tell you?
