Ever hear of the term reverse isolation? When I worked in the Bone Marrow Transplant unit we practiced reverse isolation. We wore full PPE to protect our patients from us. Their whole immune system is destroyed to get ready for the transplant. It was horrible to watch. Imagine if I said that I didn't want to wear full PPE because it infringed on my freedom. Think I'd have a job after that?
Businesses do not have to let you in if you do not have a mask on. You know, no shoes, no shirt, no service? Now it's no mask, no service, and there's nothing you can do about it. But but my freedom. Suck it up buttercup. Wear a mask. It's the right and decent thing to do. It will slow down the spread exponentially and help our economy open up faster. The govt can make a public service announcement, you can post on social media and business owners may decide to make them mandatory, but the state threatening people at gunpoint to wear a mask isn't an example of decency or even civilized behavior.
