That is a horror Mr. Commie. The taxpayer pays for it and gets a bunch of lazy people in return with benefits and pensions for life. It is criminal. Oh wait you must be a government "worker".
The first $1200 stimulus was probably a good idea but the money has already been spent by its recipients. How many stimulus checks can the Feds mail out to them before the well runs dry? At least with a WPA program the government saves future costs to rebuild the infrastructure by doing it now.
The well never runs dry, all they do is turn on the money printing machines and start cranking out $100. dollar bills as fast as they can. Im no expert on printing, but I bet they could make $50 trillon within a months time if they kept the printing going 24/7!
And entrench socialism even more? Hell, no. Government needs to stop impeding free people.
Go visit the governor of your State and tell them, how you feel --- however, you may want to leave your gun at home, if you are of a mind to own one. And be prepared to learn, you're just going to make more dead people.
FDR had the right idea. During the Great Depression, instead of letting the unemployed sit on their butts boiling old shoes for dinner in Hoovervilles, he started the Works Progress Administration which put approximately 9 million people to work building badly-needed infrastructure.
Today, the unemployed sit on their butts microwaving TV dinners and playing X-Box in Great Depression-style Trumpvilles while the government throws free money at them that adds nothing substantial to the economy. Our infrastructure, build during the 1930's, is crumbling. It could use a good retrofitting. 30 million unemployed could be put to good use rebuilding it and earning their checks instead of them sitting at home collecting free money the government doesn't have to give while waiting for bankrupt employers to call them back to non-existent jobs.
Let's get the ball rolling.
Let me point out everything wrong with this post.
First, the lack of jobs is not the problem. It's that we've had to shut down businesses to stop a pandemic. A slight oversight on your part, I'm sure.
Second, why is it that every right winger complains and whines incessantly when the government decides to throw a few crumbs to the poor and middle and anyone who isn't a millionaire many times over, but somehow, mysteriously, will never, ever, bring up the billions or trillions the government gives away to big business, corporations and billionaires? Which is precisely what has happened again in these stimulus bills. At what point do republicans get tired of kneeling in front of their GOP masters?

Do you think society needs more gvmnt workers,?
thats what they would turn into.

Consider whose crumbs you want to throw around so generously.
A chicken and a pig were discussing what to have for breakfast.
The chicken wanted bacon and eggs.
The pig said "thats not too much a sacrifice for you is it".
