I don't think these people are going to get hired by the government. All we're doing is following the success of the first WPA program of 90 years ago. Once America got back onto its feet the WPA was largely disbanded for lack of necessity. Today it's 30 million people. When this pandemic picks up steam next month 30 million will become 50 million and eventually 60 million. How are we going to feed these people? The food banks are stretched to the breaking point now. A recent article below stated that 1 in 4 children will be hungry because of Coronavirus.

Heads should roll. Not literally, we hope. Maybe cabbage or lettuce heads.

You're privilege speaks volumes.

I can see why you would just make up something with the lame "communism" attack, when what happened is flailing of the opposite, but whateves.

Some people want to work, but plenty do so only as a last resort. And if they get as much or nearly as much by sitting in their butts, they will often choose to do that. And now, with the extra $600 on top of regular unemployment that people are getting, very few people will go back to a $12/hr job when they are getting $4000 a month - at least through July.

You are the one demonstrating blind ideology if you are so certain that lower-income workers would give up all that free money to go run a cash register for half the amount.

Add to that - Nancy and Chuck want to tie all sorts of provisions to an Infrastructure Jobs program.
Unions, State Bailouts, Carbon Tax and lots and lots of Regulations.
How did Chuck and Nancy manage to “sneak” the UE bump into legislation?

The UE bump is per state qualified unemployed, not $600 for each adult. Perhaps you are confusing this with the $1250 per adult / $500 per child handout, that included tens of millions with SS and pension benefits that had zero risk of not paying.

Then there’s the $ billions that went to so called small businesses with substantial reserves due to a federal process that allowed it to happen. We don’t know the identities of every business that recieved funds to pay their furloughed employees.

The buck stops with Trump.

Why should the Federal Government spend a dime on state/ county/ local infrastructure?

Everyone expects a handout, eh.

Remember, one of the core principles of the Democrat party is to obtain income without working.
Rhode Island, Louisiana and Texas were the first states to issue the UE bump.

Our infrastructure, build during the 1930's, is crumbling. It could use a good retrofitting. 30 million unemployed could be put to good use rebuilding it and earning their checks instead of them sitting at home collecting free money the government doesn't have to give while waiting for bankrupt employers to call them back to non-existent jobs.

Let's get the ball rolling.
ROFLOL You mean like building dams and roads and planting forests stuff that requires hard labor? Good luck finding someone to sign up for that
