That said, I wish her a full and speedy recovery. And then I wish for her a nice long, quiet, peaceful retirement.
Texas has a requirement for state judges to retire at 75. I wouldn’t mind retirement at that age or even sometime up to 80, but really they shouldn’t be there are long as they live. The point is that they shouldn’t feel pressure to rule in certain ways or any future jobs are at stake. They should be independent. I’d say retirement at 75-80 would have the same result because people won’t need to worry about work anymore.

Never. If she passes on before 2024, the DNC will make every day "weekend at Ginsberg's".

I'm a right leaning Ind. Ruth has held the position and executed the office with dignity and integrity. We can disagree with her politics and her rulings, but we can't say that she didn't have morals or integrity. We could have done far worse than Ruth. Sotomayor for example.

I wish her well. I can't imagine another USSC nomination fight during a pandemic during an election year. 2020 has already done wore me out and it's only May!

Regardless if you disagree with her rulings, we’re talking about someone who has served in our nation’s courts for 40 years. That is not the body of work of someone who hates America. Your comment is shameful.

Well, it's not like he accused her of gang rape when she was in high school on no evidence.

People say she should step down, but you know what? She'd die without her work. Gives her a purpose even though she may be well past her time.

I suppose some of it is political, maybe most of it at this point, but you have to give her credit for hanging in there.
