We're doomed!

"Louis DeJoy, a top Republican donor and ally of President Donald Trump, has been named the new head of the U.S. Postal Service as it weathers a barrage of criticism from the White House.

The Postal Service’s Board of Governors announced the move on Wednesday, saying DeJoy, a North Carolina businessman and head of fundraising for August’s Republican National Convention in Charlotte, would work to preserve and protect “this essential institution” in his new role."

I can't even stand to read the article. One of the last few American things that we could still be proud of, our postal service, and he wants to wreck that too. All for the love of money. Trump will probably get free postage for the propagandist advertising he wants to send out to us. He could FIX the post office if he wanted to but instead he gives it away to the largest donor.

Just thought of something else--states are asking to vote by mail. I wonder if that has something to do with it. This new guy could just "lose" the mail that doesn't consist of votes for Trump or he could somehow veto voting by mail altogether. Whatever it is, here's another nail in our country's coffin.

For the millionth time, the Post Office is in our constitution, and the Republicans can forget about dismantling it or ruining the morale of our postal workers by trying to cut their pay, benefits and retirement.

The American people are not gonna turn over our Postal function to some government contractor.

I feel like Trump is taking a page from Verizon with the Friends And Family network where Trump is putting people in charge of things like the new postmaster general whose a A top donor to President Trump and the Republican National Committee. These people are NOT qualified to do the job Trumps gives them much like Kushner is. Again Trump isn’t stupid he’s putting people in charge who will kiss his arse and be yes men.

You are not wrong but, never has it been so blatant. Trumps supporters give this man a pass no matter what he does. They are no longer the conservative republican party of old. They are the party of Trump.
Remember when he said he could shoot somebody on fifth ave. & still get elected? He was right.
