Elon Musk should live in Nevada or Texas along with his workers. No sense living in California if he's declaring it his enemy. Happy trails!

Yes, because the Detroit metro area is the model of a successful economy.

Those who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones.

This is what CA has become

PASSED Cap-n-Trade Tax will increase gas 0.63 to 0.93 cents a gallon.
PASSED increase on a new tax every residence will pay for tap water!
PASSED a $3.46B parks bond to pay for parks in "disadvantaged communities". The debt service alone will be over $200 million a year.
PASSED a law to release any lifer (murder, rape , child molestation, etc.) who is 60 years old and has already spent 25 years in prison! Examples: Charles Manson would have qualified if he waited a few months before dying; and the Melendez brothers that murdered their parents may be released in about 12 years?
PASSED a $ 50 charge on all residents living in a mobile home parks to address “living condition enforcement” in those parks? This is basically a regressive tax on low income individuals.
PASSED requiring Tesla to unionize with the United Auto Workers Union or forfeit State incentives for the State to buy their electric cars! Solar companies may be next which will increase solar costs.
PASSED a reduction from a felony to a misdemeanor the purposeful intent to transmit the AIDS virus to a unknowing partner.
PASSED giving preferential treatment to prisoners convicted of serious crimes who are less than 25 years old. Based on they are not mature enough to understand right from wrong.
PASSED a bill requiring our true sex be omitted from drivers licenses.
PASSED free legal services for illegal immigrants.Paid for by tax payers.
PASSED establish safe "injection zones" run by government to oversee people injecting heroin! Paid for by tax payers There were no rules passed about street filth and street living based on California's current procedures and openness. You may consider forwarding this so that Californians can be aware of CALIFORNIA'S elected officials.
That ^ is a cut/paste from a Facebook meme, can't you do better than that, or at least attribute it?

Assuming his primary residence is already CA there is certainly economic reasons for him do that.

Because hes a convincing con artist. Hes our generations Howard Hughes. He never delivers (Space X, the hyperloop, self driving cars as just some examples) but is savvy enough to keep getting away with never delivering by constantly monkey branching from one gimmick to the next. His company is the entreprenuers equivalent to Scientology.

Tesla has recieved federal subsidies from the Trump administration and subsidies from NV,NY, among CA. Teslas entire business model is basically propped up and can only be functional with govnt subsidies:

https://realmoney.thestreet.com/inve...idies-14769263

https://www.latimes.com/business/la-...531-story.html

Musk is not some fearless pull yourself up by your bootstraps entreprenuer, hes a rent seeker whos entire business model relies upon govnt subsidies by promising big and jumping from one project to another never really finishing anything. The problem for him is that the sheer amount of clueless investors who have invested money his company has made it to where the con has grown so big that any little thing could sell the whole thing crashing down

The thing is that Tesla cars are a flop, they are valued at more than VW even though VW makes 15 million more cars than Tesla. There is no rational basis for such a valuation especially considering his competitors are beginning to produce far more superior products (See Porches new electric cars....better range, less expensive, more reliable)

This corona shut down threatens to expose Musk for the same reason the 2008 housing bust exposed Bernie Madoff: because his company is a ponzi scheme rife with rampant accounting fraud and it can only keep going so as long no major disruptors happen in the economy.

Think about it:

Elon Musk has a $40bn net worth. His company purported to have plenty of liquidity. Tesla has a $150bn market cap.

He’s furloughed his employees, stopped paying rent at certain places, and now can’t sustain being closed an increment 3 weeks. What’s up?

Its all the makings of some kind of fraud and hes latching onto the corona shut down to distract and offload blame for ot

They are clueless about Texas and the Texas Constitution ... which is a nightmare.

It could be time for Texans to think about more than just a wall on the Southern Border.
North, East and West might come under review.

Great move by Elon. Tesla still needs the Cali market.

I have 2 Teslas ordered. They are the best carmaker on the planet.
