Putin is loving having Trump in office.
As far as I've read Deutsche Bank is German owned.

Despite the garbage in the OP, this will be an interesting case. You can listen to live oral arguments on Tuesday. Also, Wednesday will have oral arguments on whether states can force their electoral college delegates to vote for the person who won the overall popular votes over the person who carried the state.

US banks rightly judged that they were likely to be stiffed and lose their money if they lended to Trump. What’s amazing is that his cult of personality has prevented a lot of these facts from filtering through to his base, and many of them still absurdly continue to regard him as some kind of business genius who had nothing but massive success.

Trump's base is of the kind of people who aspire to run their lives the same way he has, so he's become their champion, a template for the development of their own corrupt characters. Trump sits at the point of the pyramid of his base, only this pyramid is upside-down.

After that, Trump probably would be too embarrassed about his tax returns showing he's only a millionaire, instead of a billionaire.

Actually, there is precedent for the court to rule against Trump. In the United States v Nixon in July, 1974, the Supreme Court ruled that Nixon had to turn over tape recordings and other subpoenaed materials to a federal district court. Nixon, knowing that what was in the tapes would implicate him in the Watergate coverup resigned a few weeks later.

There has to be something very damning in those tax returns because Trump is fighting so hard to keep them secret. As was said earlier, it's no secret that most of his money was borrowed from Deutche Bank. In 2019, Deutche Bank was fined for laundering Russian money.

So even though the court is 5-4 Republican, there is a precedent that a sitting President can be charged with a crime.

Will definitely be must see TV tomorrow.

His records from banks were subpoenaed. He has ordered the banks to not release them, the banks have complied and Congress is arguing that under their "broad powers of subpoena" they can demand his records from 3rd parties. So if we are being pedantic, it is his records under subpoena, not him. I stipulate.

But the case is about the extent of the subpoena power of the Congress, which they claim is nigh unlimited, and Trump rightly claims is very limited, especially pursuant to the President.

If you care about individual rights at all, you side with Trump. If you care about abject tyranny, then side with Congress.

There is precedent and case law that proves their subpoena power is nowhere near as vast as they think, regardless of how much they hate Trump. We'll see if the SCOTUS cares about law or their image. If the former, Trump's records stay private, as they should.

Except, as President, he has been punctiliously honest and open. There is not a whiff of corruption.

There is a tsunami of lies from his opponents but no questionable conduct from Trump.

Strange folks, these Lefties....

I don't want to see his, and I don't want mine to be made public. Fair trade.
I want you to have the same reaction to this as you would if Obama had refused to show his taxes. And we both know that your response to that wouldn’t have been disinterested insouciance.

It would’ve been fury. No we aren’t strange folks. We want Trump to follow the precedent of all of his predecessors.

It’s not being pedantic. It’s an important distinction for the purposes of this case, actually. The fact that you don’t see that further detracts from your analytical credibility.
