Oops there's logic and facts again getting in the way of liberal lies.

At least 3 states, California, NJ and NY require nursing homes to accept Covid patients IF the facility has the ability to isolate such patients, the staff to be dedicated to such patients and appropriate. Speculation on my part that some facilities made decisions to accept without meeting the criteria and perhaps did so for profit.

A city about 50 miles SW of Chicago made the decision to discontinue dining room service. Instead, it served meals in resident rooms. An employee was responsible for delivering and setting up the TV tables. Unknown at the time, the employee was sick but came to work because he needed the paychecks. It does not appear he was given PPE. It had no tests.

He died of complications related to Covid and within a few weeks, 24 residents did, too.

In a more perfect world, all nursing home employees and residents would be tested daily and PPE would be adequate. In a perfect world there would be alternative facilities to isolate those residents who test positive.

In spite of Democratic governors (and some GOP ones) doing their best to lengthen the shutdown and destroy the economy, Wall Street sees them as failing. Once more their attempts to harm America seems to be coming to naught. It's sad the short-term pain they are causing the citizens in their states, but the long term damage may not stick.
I have been following the stock markets relationship with job losses for some time now. The market has often times acted favorably (inversely) to job losses and negatively (inversely) to rises in interest rates. The market seems to think that job cuts, often, improves the profitability of companies. It helps the companies bottom line to shed employees, the market assumes.

The city now has a surplus of hospital beds, which was not the case when the order was first issued.

There is increased availability of tests and PPE that were not available a month ago. Despite this, Cuomo is ordering employees to be tested twice a week, instead of daily as the WH staff is. Obviously, still not enough tests.

Actually, the City had the Jarvis Center turned into a (roughly) 1000 bed facility and never used it. They also had the Navy ship Comfort with 1000 bed capability and chose to use it roughly 300 times. The fact is, Cuomo and company just plain f***** up.

Why did you opt for "hard isolation" if you thought it would be of no use?

The reality is, if Donald Trump had exhibited a fraction of the compassion and leadership that Cuomo has shown, this country would be in much better shape right now. Cuomo has been a true leader, doing his job with intelligence and hard work.
Nobody really has their head stuck that far in the ground (or somewhere else), do they? Cuomo has forced nursing homes to take covid positive patients-an order that is akin to murder. Thousands have died as a result. But don't worry-while he's murdering nursing home patients, he's letting violent criminals out of prison and jail, so THEY aren't exposed.

Pretty much a typical liberal-he empathizes more with criminals than with law abiding Americans. Worst governor in the nation-and that's saying a lot, given MI, WA and CA.

He was doing this while the "temporary" hospital was open and never saw a patient, and while the UNSN Comfort was docked there and only saw a handful of patients. The hospitals never were "overwhelmed". Cuomo has blood on his hands, and has by far the worst performance in the nation regarding the bug. 1300 New Yorkers dead per million population, 26,000 people. But yeah, he bleats out "Orange Man Bayd" 20 times a day so he's a hero of the left-in spite of thousands dead.
