Oh, that was beautiful and unique.

I couldn't picture that men could even pull something like this, yet he did, because it was very different from what I saw in women's pole dancing - it was very masculine indeed.
I am talking about the first performer; the pole dance studio instructor did a very good job in this respect too.
The rest - not so much.
Nothing "genuine" - basically same moves that women invented before them.
But this right here explains why the original "pole dancing" could ( and was) turned into sport, with a range of elements" that became a "must" as in figure skating for example or gymnastics.

I had no idea it was an exercise, "art", competition, etc until reading this thread.

Guess it is. Oh well. Whatever.

Truth to be told - OF COURSE that performance was sexual in nature.

But there is "sexual" and there is "sexual."
The naked statues of Rome and Greece are sexual in nature, so are many classical paintings, so is the classical ballet in many ways.

But that's the sexuality created for admiration of beauty of women's ( or men's) bodies, the celebration of their worlds, and not for direct "consumption," (as some can only understand "sexuality.")

And this is the reason why that show was still inappropriate for children - even this type of sexuality doesn't belong in their world; not because it was particularly *sleazy."

I'm not up to date on all of this stuff. Real eye-opener.

I think it's odd but whatever. I find all non-competition "sports" to be weird.

They could study wholesome Bible stories. Like the one about Lott and his daughters or the one in Second Kings 13 where Amnon rapes his half sister and then throws her out.
This.

Which song?

I heard a cover of Leonard Cohens 'Hallelujah'. What did you hear?

Does it really matter what people think about the song/routine outside of personal preference?

I saw no rights being violated in the video.
