The IRS works for him, which is why you have so much faith in IRS and the government in general.
Trump works for me, so I want his tax returns under the "we the people" microscope.
The more he tries to hide them, the more obvious it becomes he is hiding something big, and he has been bending over backwards in order to hide them for 3 full years.
He demanded to see Obama's birth certificate, although no one ever has been asked such thing before, but his wish was granted.

Wait...is that not done? I'm a state employee and I had a full background investigation done on me. My brother is a federal employee and he too had a full background & criminal investigation.
Does the President of the United States not get a standard background check before taking office?
Of course, not -- at least not an "official" one. That would be illegal and, practically, impossible without a radical rewriting of the Constitution. However, there's nothing to stop *you* from paying for a background check.
Yes, absolutely this needs to be a requirement, no matter who the person is or which party he/she belongs to.
It is not just to see how much money the person has.... that part is not so important, but it's to make sure there are no legal issues or conflict of interest issues financially with the person. I mean, what if we found out the next president was taking large sums of money from the Chinese government? Of course we would be concerned as it may affect his/her policies towards China going forward, or there could be concern that person is compromised in some way. These are the reasons we need to be concerned about that with our next president and every one after.
