Good to hear Rand speak out-someone needs to. Fauci is ONE voice advising the president, no more, no less. And his only concern is the China bug. He isn't concerned with people losing jobs and not being able to put food on the table. He isn't concerned with destroying people's life's savings they have invested in a business. And he's not concerned with triggering a recession. Frankly-that's not his job. He is busy playing CYA on the bug, and recommending the most extreme actions he can come up with to stop it. He won't be held accountable for the economic devastation and the constitutional issues involved.

Again-that's why Trump has other advisers. And Rand is actually a MD, as well as a senator. He is infinitely more qualified to question Fauci than any of the talking heads in the media. He is asking questions those in the media SHOULD ask if they had the intelligence to do so.

I believe that the people marked for death will die, whether it's next week, or this christmas.
All these measures are only in hopes that people can cheat death or illness,
but nah, rona doesn't work that way.

so let's open everything back up and see what happens.

stop dwelling on what-ifs.

Our current measures aren't super effective, so what's the harm?

New Jersey is already being forced to open back up because they're bleeding too much money.

This past monday, I went to the local chain supermarket, and it was pretty packed at 2pm. We were all walking within arm's length of one another, while wearing masks.

A statesman once said that wars are too important to be left to the military men. A similar perspective may be true of global pandemics: they are too important to be left to the medical experts. People in charge need to balance out the conservative approach preferred by the epidemiologists against the broader needs of society and the economy.

Dr. Fauci is far from the only person advising Trump, Dr Birx, head of the CDC, Surgeon General and several others. He is a health advisor not a financial advisor and many of the states are ignoring his guidance and are free to do so, Trump is cheering them on.

Rand is an ophthalmologist, he should stick to his specialty which isn't infectious diseases. If he doesn't like Dr Fauci's advice his governor is free to ignore his advice but its stupid for him to question Dr Fauci's motive.

We are literally seeing first how first world countries are being easily manipulated into becoming dictatorships. Want to know how Hitler got to power, we're seeing it.

Oh, could not agree more. Back in the 70's we knew a couple who fled Germany. Not Jews. He was a Scientist who spoke out against the Nazis. He neighbors overhead him saying so to his wife. GOOD CITIZENS report your neighbors for non-compliance and speaking out against Government.

Report your neighbors for having parties and other family members at your home against Stay At Home orders. Yes, I can see the correlation.
