2nd, you cannot open carry during a protest. He/they are not within the law. Educate yourself.

Ahmaud Arbery could have used a rocket launcher or a few of those pistols back in February, right OP?

OK, well that is just a tube he has. Quite obviously theres no rocket in it. So it's just a prop. And it seems likely the pic is staged.

But even if it is legitimate theres no law against using props to make a statement. Empty rocket tubes are a dime a dozen. Very few man portable LAWs are reloadable. And the empty tubes get PDOd all the time.

Now if he had an RPG7 and a pack of rockets with red yellow and black painted warheads that would draw serious attention.

So packing an empty rocket tube around is exercising White privilege aye? And, if a Black, Hispanic or Asian guy did the same what's that? Protest against White privilege?

Whatever. This is nothing burger with fries.

Wait, wait, wait? Who the **** says one cannot protest while armed?
So, We The People cannot exercise more than one right at a time? Where did you hear this?

Open Carry Rallys are the new Freedom. They are not there to discuss the weather. or just to show each other their fine weapons.

Don't charge at a guy with a shotgun and pull it towards you, when you are already "running away". Just change direction and flee.

The US government of today is not the same one that wrote the Constitution and the Bill of Rights. Far, far from it. THAT government was smart enough to include the 2nd Amendment to, if necessary, deal with the kind of government we have today. I expect before it's over it won't be just Michigan's dictator that learns this.

Is the law within the law?

2nd amendment commands the government (all of them in the US) to not do anything that infringes that guy's right to keep and bear. That's all he's doing. And whether he's demonstrating or not.

If some state or local law says otherwise, which one supersedes?

The Supreme Court has ruled more than once, that if a law is "hostile to the Constitution", that law is automatically null and void.

Too bad that the Justices occasionally forget that. And that the states and cities forget it a lot. But the 2A still says what it says, and not what the states or cities (or even Congress) sometime wish it said.

Fools like this are doing more to turn public opinion away from our 2A rights than a million liberal lobbyists could ever hope to accomplish. Good job a-holes.

Nothing says "I have tiny pecker" like a rocket launcher strapped to your pack at a starbucks...
