Lockdowns can stop but individual consumers do NOT have to risk their health or lives to go to a restaurant or movie theater. Stopping a lockdown may not save many of these businesses anyway. Charles Darwin said survival depends on being able to adapt and change with one's environment. These businesses need to do just that - adapt and change, or die out.
In particular I am sick of restaurants telling, shaming and guilting the public to "save them" by coming to their restaurant. My life is worth soooooo much more than your restaurant business. I can cook at home!
I love my community. Some restaurants will have dining in, many have added or expanded patios and most have really great take-out optioins.
There are mainly independent owned restaurants, so their staff is like family.
If you feel guilt because a business markets a concept to you based one motion -- oh dear -- you have bigger problems.
Why are colleges the announcing they won’t be reopening? this makes no sense. The 18-24 demo is the least likely demo to die from the virus(1 in a million die) they are much better off getting the virus to develop antibodies. These teachers want to get paid to not do anything. This is BS.
Many colleges are in the "orange man bad" school of "thought." They are afraid that if life returns to normal it will somehow help Trump.
Wuhan is going to test all 11million people in 10 days because of a recent spike in cases. If they can do that, why can't we test aggressively and contact trace?
If you believe that I have a bridge from Brooklyn to Manhattan to sell you. And contact tracing? Means if your app comes close to another person's app and they test positive you are imprisoned for 14 days. Really?
Rush is absolutely correct. The communist democrats and the never Trump RInos will do everything in their power to save the swamp. And if the American people are collateral damage so be it!
It will be a war between good people like me versus evil power hungry liberal progressives. With the help of God hopefully good will triumph over evil!
There is a war, but it's not between "good" people like you and "evil" progressives. It's a war between the United States of America and Covid-19 virus. In a war it is important that we all work together towards the common goal.
There are some people (even some who consider themselves "good") who don't want to follow the directives of their elected leaders, because they feel they have been asked to sacrifice too much. They don't like being told to stay home, or avoid crowds or wear a mask. I understand.
But we didn't win WWII by refusing to sacrifice. We didn't win WWII by disregarding government directives. We didn't win WWII by everybody doing their own thing. Americans put up with rationing, curfews, blackouts etc. If it's too much to ask Americans to wear a silly little mask, there is no hope for us to win this war.
