it has been confirmed. the vast majority of americans are idiots

That was confirmed long ago by the Presidential election of 1976. And re-affirmed by the 2008 and 2012 elections.

Finally a ray of hope showed up in 1980, 1984, and 2016.

Well, of course I want as much of my tax dollars I paid in back.

The poll should have been broken down by how much in federal taxes a person paid.

Plus, who would not want free money? Hell, corporations spend billions a year in lobbying in getting subsidies and breaks, yet I am the idiot if I want to pay in as little as possible in taxes?

More: 26% would save it - and 33% would donate some of it to charity!

Most disturbing: A whopping 44% agree that people should get MORE on Unemployment than their regular pay.

I'm not sure which Americans are the idiots - anyone who believes this survey, or the 350 people they asked. That's right. 350 people = "84% of Americans..."

If it were truly representative - then only 70 of them would have been unemployed, no?
I won't dare to discuss the numbers as accurate but to explain part of it a lot of americans have a job and a side-hustle that helps them cover their needs. For many people that side hustle disappeared overnight. in 2020, just working 40 hours isn't enough. People need that supplemental income. For example, my side-hustle is photography. it disappeared with the stuff going on. Especially, we've since plowed through prom and graduation season, that money is gone.

I agree. It depends on who they are polling. Specific groups/categories of individuals will provide specific data, different from there's who are polled from other groups/categories.

Example would be if they only polled those who were receiving government assistance for a career. Every one of them would say "YES" to more "free" money.

I voted for trump for 2 reasons:
1. I thought he would be fiscally responsible.
2. He was the lesser of 2 evils.

I know hillary wouldn't have been any better, but trump has proven to be no ray of hope. in fact, he has piled onto the national debt even before this crisis.
ron paul was our best hope and of course our fellow american idiots did not vote for him.

Idiocy is paying taxes and not knowing where those tax dollars for all the years of work went. This is just some refunds of those vanished tax dollars. We have been bailing out crooked investment banks and corporations for decades, I see no reason why the american WORKER can't be bailed out for a change.

We didn't cause craziness. If we would have stopped all the outsourcing to China years ago, this may never have happened. Who knows

No more stimulus. All focus now should be on getting America back in business. The shutdown until further notice will not work anymore.
