Enforcement is carried out by a private entity (the restaurant), for the protection of that private entity (from lawsuit), and only during a pandemic emergency -- Why wouldn't anyone be comfortable with this?
Most government laws are carried out by private entities. And the lists are required for government access, not lawsuits. This isn't a voluntary measure taken up by private entities on their own behalf it is a government decree. The headline is that they have been ordered to keep logs, not have gotten together and decided to.
But Trump on his first day of office accepted a call from Csai Ying Wen and acknowledged Taiwan's sovereignty, something no other president has done.
both liberals and conservatives unanimously agree Taiwan is not a part of China,
Taiwan actually has a different currency, human rights, different president ect. ect.
most importantly they hate China and the CCP more then any country in the entire world
One thing all Americans can agree on is Taiwan is def not a part of china,,,,,, who's side are you on? definitely not America's
I support Taiwan in believing it was a lab leak and I support Taiwan in educating the world about the evils of the CCP
No president has stood up to the CCP more then Taiwan's president Csai Ying Wen.
She is amazing and even came to Colorado to ride horses one time.
Also I support whatever Taiwan does regarding the virus because they are 100 miles from China and have had no cases of community transmission in over a month
IF TAIWAN was in the WHO they would've notified the world of the seriousness of the situation and the virus would have likely never spread out of China and saved lives and economies
supporting taiwan more could have saved us
all could have been avoided if Taiwan was in the WHO bc they wouldve notified the world of Human to Human transmission in December like they tried to do, but bc they weren't in the WHO they were silenced.
everyone in Taiwan knows the WHO=Beijing
CCP & Taiwan both Chinese !!!
Is Taiwan planning to take back their homeland/mainland China and unite the two Chinas ?
"Taiwan, China", "Taiwan, Province of China", or "Taiwan Province, China" are a set of politically controversial terms that characterize Taiwan and its associated territories as a province or territory of "China".
Washington Gov. Jay Inslee's office on Monday issued a set of coronavirus requirements that restaurants must abide by when they reopen, one of which requires them to create a "daily log" of their customers' comings and goings.
I'll bet most of the people who complain about this already use customer loyalty cards. They're okay with coupons and special deals, but do something to stop the spread of a disease and suddenly it's "The government is out to get us!"
Would you right-wingers please make up your minds?
Two things have been proven to work in the fight against this: Social distancing and widespread testing with contact tracking. Those are your options.
Well, it turned out that the World's Sole Remaining Superpower was utterly incapable of instituting a test program, mostly because your medical system is a colossal shambles and - like your supply chain - geared towards making a few hundred extremely rich people marginally richer. So, social isolation it was.
Guess what, now that the US is actually catching up to civilized nations when it comes to per-capita test numbers, we have the much less intrusive option of doing social tracking - and so you've picked this massively stupid hill to fight on.
Wanting your freedoms without shouldering responsibilities? - that's really something you should have gotten over in adolescence.
We aren't talking about a restaurant keeping a log. We're talking about a government forcing a business to log every customer visit, and then turn that information over to the government.
You honestly don't have a problem with that?
I honestly don't have a problem with government contact tracing. In fact, I encourage it, and if the government asks me to put an app on my phone to monitor my whereabouts 24 hours a day, I'll be happy to volunteer. I don't have paranoid delusions about big brother government like some do.
We all want the pandemic lockdowns to end. Contract tracing and ramped up testing will go a long way towards ending the lockdowns in a safe way.
Even if it's not foolproof, this is a pragmatic and sensible measure that that should have been instituted early-on, and held in readiness in the possibility of future pandemics.
For once, Mr. Elliott and I are in agreement.
You clearly haven't thought this through. What do you think they plan to do with that information?
