I dont think this is anything like others you mentioned...its looking like this is killing the economy, and re opening is not turning out like they thought it would, the places that did decide to re open, have very tough restrictions on them and limits their capacity to 25-50% of what it normally is, (NO business can survive that for too long).
Imo, whats happening now, is just the process of the economy collapsing, they may be able to slow it down a little bit here and there, but overall, I dont think most will survive it.
I agree with you, this is a no win situation just do our best to make it through. My friend in Florida said his area restaurant openings is 25% capacity. That is what I was thinking was 50% capacity and watch the number of cases. Big cities that wont work but Rural areas it might it just takes a cohesive approach to make it happen for all.
Those are just examples of illnesses we have learned over time to treat, this is much different but won't wipe out the human race. We just need to keep our cool and work together.
The Medical and Economic leaders need to decide what is best for all of us and globally to control the damage and I am not seeing that. It's just a task force on different pages shooting from the hip. Skip the briefing room I want to see a more collaborative meeting in a more formal setting where everybody is siting with their own mic.

Many places that try to reopen are going to realize that people are just not confident enough to go there. Most will be waiting for a month to see how this goes. Others longer. Unless the business caters to the young and immortal, it may find it costs more to stay open than to just shut down for good.
