I suspect most people wearing masks in cars, are in the same boat as I am.

It hardly merits a discussion thread.

Unless you are trying to show how free and independent you are.

But people who are actually free and independent, don't feel the need to broadcast it on Youtube.
Couldn't rep you again, yet.

Here you go....now what was the point you were trying to prove??

Maybe you can provide similar SCIENTIFIC evidence not your unsubstantiated opinions to bolster whatever your point was...

Here is the take home conclusion....

"In summary, we find that the use of cloth masks can potentially provide significant protection against the transmission of particles in the aerosol size range."

Because my car is only used by myself and my son, (who live in the same household) we don't wear masks in the car. If we had guests we would have to, but having people in the back seat is not consistant with social distancing. I put my mask on when I am going into the grocery store. I don't wear a mask when I am out walking because my experience is that people stay well away from each other and wave from accross the street, etc. When I get back from the store, I open the car door, take my mask off, then sanitize my hands before getting into the car (groceries go in the back.) I don't mind others wearing their masks in their cars. It doesn not offend me. They may have their reasons. If I thought myself to be covid19 positive, or if I were sneezing, I might wear it in the car to keep from contaminating surfaces. But to the best of my knowledge (although you never know), I am not positive. All of this is just carefully thought through common sense at keeping myself safe. It is not in response to any law or rule. I wish we didn't have to think about all this, but under the current circumstances, we do.

Only N-95 and surgical masks help to prevent transmission of the microscopic virus. Regular folks can't get their hands on them as they are all sold out. Cloth masks/home made masks does nothing to filter out the virus. It gives people a false sense of security.

Individuals should be careful not to touch their eyes, nose, and mouth when removing their face covering and wash hands immediately after removing.

So, if you don't have access to a facility to wash your hands and you're headed to another public space, what do you reckon you should do?
I would recommend using hand sanitizer or something like that if you do not have access to soap and water.

There is no single magic answer, just sharing what has been in the news. *shrug*

What we do know is breathing in the particles from an infected person spreads the virus. Putting filter over your nose and mouth reduces the risk. Its not rocket science.

If it works for the regular flu, anyone with even half a functioning brain knows that its the right precaution to take with this.

Surgical masks and N95s both help prevent spread. I have plenty of each and I've seen plenty of people with them.
