Sure. If you're concerned, of course your "space" is inside you're home or apartment, not in pubic. And if an infected person kicks in your door and coughs on you, shoot away. Assuming of course you don't have the same phobias about guns that you do about people exercising their rights. Lock yourself in your house and crawl under your bed with you're gun if it makes you feel better.
