One thing that I am sure of is that the US feels it's supremacy is under threat from China's growth. The impact of all these "Asian threats" may result in many people becoming xenophobic and wanting to cut ties and trade with Asia....where all these threats are being imported into our country from.
it seems that we are being subliminally programmed to see Asia as a threat.
Gypsy moths and Gypsy moth spraying is not really new. Been going on a few years.
There's also crab and a snail, I think, that sticks to the bottoms of ships. Big problem! Invasive species are a side effect of a world wide economy.
I do hope we want to cut trade ties with Asia.... Not because of bugs and viruses per se, or racism, but because their government standards and business ethics need some serious correction.
China no quality standards, health standards, environmental standards, and they think it's perfectly OK to steal and copy intellectual property. They send us products painted with lead paint, contaminated food, and copy and bootleg software and movies.
Has nothing to do with them as a race, but rather, their government. They are numerous and strong, they need to reform their government.

Sounds like you want REGULATIONS. You must be a democrat.
I think people are just more sensitive about our East Asian relations at the moment, due to debacle of this COVID-19 pandemic. Foreign species invasion has been happening for a while. Take the Asian Carp, for example.

There is probably a lot of truth to that....but subliminally the timing is really bad....for Asia and Asians. Its like a lot of negative things are being associated with Asia and that can weigh in peoples subconscious and manifest into xenophobia and anti Asian positions.

So none of these things are a problem, then? Otherwise, it’s news.

Is there a psych ops campaign going on against China/Asia?
Yes, and it doesn't take much in US where lot of people want to believe whatever it put forth by their handlers.
The handlers want people obsessed with China because it serves as a distraction of what is going on here in US with astronomical bailouts and 36 million newly unemployed.

And somehow liberals have found a way to place the blame at Trump's doorstep for something that started over 7,000 miles across the globe. The lunacy never ends.
