A common thing done by authoritarian and fascist governments is to go after the educated, I see its been effective with some folks.
What an inane comment.
All of Trump's cabinet are well educated. Your attempt at deflection and intimidation failed. Sachs is merely another left wing nut case. I can find one on the right for every one you find on the left.

Sadly, this is a continuation of the long history of anti-intellectualism in this country. How else would working-class people be convinced that their interests align with the billionaire plutocracy?
More inanity from the Party Which Claims Possession of ALL Knowledge.
Fail.

Trump’s inaction and incompetence tanked the economy. Opening back up now isn’t going to do a damn thing. The damage is already done. I’m actually in favor of opening things back up with some restrictions. However, people won’t be going out and spending until they feel safe doing so, regardless if it’s legal for businesses to be open or not. And if there’s a second wave without some kind of treatment or a vaccine, we can kiss the economy goodbye for a generation.

What else is new? If anything bad happens, it's automatically Trump's fault.

Only people I know who were saying we had a healthy economy were Trump and his mouthpieces on Fox (what are they going to do for a living when their guy is history?)

Now, with the Virus, and the poor response from the WH, we are in a world of hurt--both socially and economically. Huge deficits, and a depression on the doorstep.

Is there a worse scenario?

Pity anyone who has to come in and discover how deep the rot really is, and then face the nation with a plan to clean it up.

What should he have done differently that would have had no economic impact AND slowed the spread of the virus?

Sweden didn't go into a hard lockdown like the rest of the world and their coronavirus deaths are not that bad.

I guess they're a nation of right wing nut jobs.

Other lefties, like Robert Kennedy Jr. who don't blindly engage in Trump hating (and he's no Trump supporter), have pointed out that deaths from the effects of isolation, mass unemployment, and people not seeking medical care could be just as high or higher than the number of people who die of the virus. Of course, not surprisingly, he is ignored because they don't support the media's narrative.
For those actually interested in what an intelligent analysis looks like he talks about this at 44:55:

Several problems with that panel.

1) 3 white men, no blacks. WTH. Right there the blatant racism of the panel is in full view and is invalid.

2) No Greta Thunberg which is frankly a travesty and shows that they are not serious about climate change.

Happy Friday, hold a kangaroo panel...get treated as such.
