No. You shouldn’t work out in a mask or run. You need to breath and your body needs oxygen to replenish its cells. They teach you this stuff in middle school.
I own a blood oxygen meter. I have tested myself multiple times while wearing a mask, there's no difference.
Most people aren't wearing N-95 masks. I'm not even sure you could get one of those right now even if you wanted one.
Masks worn by the general public are intended to protect surfaces and others from the wearer’s spray. Nothing more or less. As you say, most of the general public is not wearing N- 95 masks.
In early April, Trump invoked the Defense Production Act to compel 3 M to make N-95 masks for healthcare and other frontline workers who wear masks for long shifts.
This retired doctor apparently is criticizing The Trump Administration.
He was a surgeon, not an infectious disease or virologist MD.
He seems to be stoking fear and distrust for profit.

Apparently some of these masks, such as the N95 mask, can hamper breathing and lower oxygen intake if worn for long periods of time. Face masks can also worsen a person's health if they have a pre-existing lung condition.
This post makes me mildly nauseated. I wear my N100 for brief periods of time while out shopping. I do it for the sake of others, not for myself
Yep. I will gladly take my chances of a little less oxygen versus getting the Coronavirus. Besides, most of do not keep them on for hour after hour.
Only healthcare workers and first responders wear these masks for hours.
