Couple of excerpts:

"California has distributed the funds to 12 nonprofit organizations that have experience serving immigrants, and individuals can apply for assistance by contacting those organizations directly beginning on Monday."

"The measure is likely to draw criticism from groups that oppose illegal immigration, who argue that it is unfair to offer financial support to immigrants who have broken the law. While some argue that it is not the government’s responsibility to support those undocumented when American citizens are hurting financially, immigration advocates say the disproportionate effect on undocumented workers is a wider problem."

I would think as news of that dangling carrot reaches into the Central American countries, even more people will be saying to their families: "We need to get up there into California at any cost! Let's go!!"

Not surprising to me at all.

But in reality, if the tax paying citizens do nothing about this...they are just as guilty as the governor!

I thought SCOTUS ruled on it making it a crime to encourage/harbor etc illegal aliens. Maybe the gov will do some time.

The problem in California is that illegals are there in such numbers that practically every voter knows one or two of them. They are cleaning their house or tending their gardens.

He's putting some state workers on reduced hours and he's giving illegals stimulus money.

I swear, I'm living in the upside down world.

Just typing that out is ridiculous. Who is that asshat pandering to exactly?? Hard working middle class people surely aren't down with this kind of nonsense.

If governor hair gel got hit by a bus tomorrow they're be nothing but dry eyes among most people that I know.
