"An Oregon judge on Monday halted statewide coronavirus restrictions, ruling in favor of churches and congregants who challenged the measures as an unlawful infringement on their religious freedoms.
Circuit Judge Matthew Shirtcliff's ruling temporarily suspends all of Gov. Kate Brown's (D) emergency coronavirus measures, not just those applying to religious gatherings."
She's going to appeal to State's Supreme court now, and if she gets her way, let's see this riding all the way to US Supreme Court and these vile lockdowns striken down for good.
"Common Sense intervened after the Sacramento-based Pacific Justice Institute filed the case earlier this month on behalf of Oregon businesses, expanding the scope, he said.
“The stay-at-home order is no longer in effect. It is invalidated. If people want to get their haircut, they can. They can leave their home for any reason whether it’s deemed essential in the eye of the state or not,” he said."

Judge tosses coronavirus restrictions by Oregon governor
Oregon Governor Kate Brown had her stay at home order revoked by a county court today. She failed to get legislative approval for it as required by Oregon law within 28 days.
A judge in Oregon on Monday ruled that Gov. Kate Brown’s coronavirus restrictions were “null and void” after the Democratic lawmaker failed to have her emergency orders approved by the state’s legislature in 28 days.
Baker County Circuit Judge Matthew Shirtcliff made the ruling Monday in a lawsuit brought by churches who said the social-distancing directives were unconstitutional. The suit had also argued that emergency powers only last for a month and after that Brown would have needed legislative approval. The judge agreed. Brown said she would immediately appeal the ruling to the state Supreme Court to try to keep the emergency orders in effect.
Ray Hacke, the attorney who represented the plaintiffs, said in a phone interview Monday the ruling invalidates Brown’s ban on churches gathering for worship but also the entire stay-at-home order.
“The stay-at-home order is no longer in effect. It is invalidated. If people want to get their haircut, they can. They can leave their home for any reason whether it’s deemed essential in the eye of the state or not,” he said.
The case was initially focused on the provisions requiring that churches be closed, which is arguably a violation of the first amendment of the US Constitution. To be fair, as long as they are closing EVERYTHING, then they should probably close churches too. But when they start picking and choosing, using criteria that appear to be in any way arbitrary, then that is very possibly going too far. Which may be the case here.
However, the judge did not just overturn the portion of the law pertaining to churches, he overturned the entire stay at home order.
Governor Brown promised to appeal the order to the Oregon Supreme. Do not be surprised to see this case advanced to the US Supreme Court, if the Oregon Supreme Court overturns this ruling.
What a moron. Isn’t the Oregon legislature composed of like-minded progressives? If so I’m sure they would have rubber stamped anything she told them to.
And people can go anywhere they friggin want now...and they will. It's not just about getting back to work....it about basic, core freedoms and human rights being stripped away.
Some twits in the government aren't going to suddenly decide that freedoms are void, just because of another flu.
Guess what, next year will be another flu!

Then why didn't they? Or, maybe they did not have the votes....
I hope people are waking up and realizing that these democrats are incompetent buffoons who are out of touch with reality.
I had my awakening 15 years ago, I hope Oregonians have their awakening real soon!
You can't help but notice these states with the most heavily-handed stay at home orders fall sharply along political boundaries. Can't think of any conservative-run states attempting to go too crazy with with any of this but can name half a dozen blue states hell bent on keeping this charade up for as long as possible. My current residence in the state above hers definitely being one of them.
I guess we're saying that states no longer have a responsibility to protect public health. If hospitals become overrun with patients, well, too bad.
