We swung by the Home Depot in Drippin a week ago. NOBODY in Hays County had masks on - not even the HD staff. I was surprised by that.

I’ve left the house four times since March 7. I wear a mask each time. I do NOT want the Roney, man. But at the same time, I am happy to see folks getting back out into the world. I urge them to wear masks but it’s not my call.

Our LA friends had a neighbor whining about red tail hawks in her trees. Can you believe that? My friend, a terminal jackass, offered to hire a falconer to bring falcons out to kill the hawks. “Oh no”!, she said. So then he offered to bring his Mossberg over and handle her problem. Of course he didn’t mean ANY of it. He was so obviously funnin’ her. She melted down however and got him kicked off. Hahaha. Totally worth it.

Yep, I wear mine when I go into stores but I definitely notice a difference outside of the Austin city limits.

And Bentbow, I know that Valero well....it’s not very far from my stomping grounds.

I get kick from there every time I post. It get flagged immediately.... Then about a year later, I start getting the e-mail notifications again and I go see if I can log back in, just to get tossed again.
Both times it was over "dogs crapping my yard" posts. I could not resist trolling them over it for a laugh.

The house I grew up in and sold when dad passed, right across the street(down Westrock about 6 houses on the curve) from "The Broken Spoke" on Lamar. I went to Barton Hills, O. Henry & Austin High.
My main residence now is in Circle C. Always a "River Rat"

I discovered that a large number of my Oak Hill neighbors are outwardly socialist. Some of them are also urbanists who have a chip on their shoulder over our large property sizes out here. I liked everyone so much more when I didn’t know these intimate details about them.

The funniest thing is that we live outside city limits in a rural neighborhood where the discharge of weapons is legal and yet EVERY TIME a neighbor fired a shot the website became a debate over “who did that?” and gun control.

Yes, my husband is just like that. He couldn’t help jerking their chains. It was pretty funny. Considering about 90% of the people posting on there are libs (in Austin anyway), it doesn’t take much to get them all riled up. It also doesn’t take a lot to get kicked off if you’re conservative.
