I got this thing before the health checks at work and the masks. Its highly contagious but also runs the gamut from fatal to so mild you're not even sure you got it. The masks do nothing to protect you and if you don't have it, what point is there to wearing one? And social distancing is meaningless. The lockdowns were pointless. Some companies made out like bandits with insider protection of the government while many independents and small businesses were royally screwed.
Enough is enough. I can't much more of this self destructive idiocy we all went along with.
Well you sort of answered your own question there. If you're not sure if you have it, that means it possible you could have it. The masks are to keep you from spreading it to others.

It seems like both the left and right have people who wear
masks and also inconsiderate jerks who risk infecting me by not.
I won't go anywhere where people aren't masked.

I used to support either party over the long course of my life, with money and votes.

I will probably never, ever, support a Republican again for any office, unless perhaps they are endorsed by The Lincoln Project. I am back with the Democrats after probably thirty or more years.

I happen to live in a traditionally Republican county in Illinois. Lincoln and Douglas had one of their famous debates near here (Lincoln was a Whig at the time) and Republicans have dominated this county since the War Between the States. The Democrats never run a full slate of candidates.

Everyone in this county wears a mask when shopping, no exceptions. Stores will not allow one to enter without a mask and everyone complies, no arguments. At home mowing the lawn and washing the car ... no.

I dislike face masks but I wear one too.

Meanwhile, deaths from pneumonia are still plugging away as usual and basically going "unnoticed".

Independent .. swing voter.

I wear a mask when I expect to be around people... that includes stores. When I am out for a walk, I don't but I have it in my pocket just in case. If there are groups of people not wearing masks, I would just avoid... but I haven't been in that situation. Everywhere i go (areas that lean left and right), people are generally following the guidelines. My town leans right.

There are posters that make any mask covid discussion political... Obviously it has less to do with political affiliation and more to do with common sense, assessment of risk, among other things. Its a lazy way to make a point.

If the masks work and they’re wearing them, where’s the danger? If the masks don’t work, why are they wearing them? If anyone is so afraid of what/who is in the store, why would they be in the store?

I fully support the right to do so for any who choose to wear a mask. Or clown makeup. Or magical hats.

I've read plenty of stories about mask lovers who get ugly and violent towards those who are not wearing masks, but not the other way around.

We have a Safeway a few miles away from our neighborhood and nearly every day there's some type of altercation in or around that store and it always involves someone with a mask throwing groceries at someone who's not wearing a mask, and sometimes because someone's not going down the isle in the correct direction (one way/directional isles) or that they feel is too close to them. WTF.

Obviously the mask lovers are more hostile / volatile towards the no-mask group, regardless of political party affiliation.

I do wear a mask when shopping and I'm a conservative Republican who voted for Trump and will vote for him again. I do take the Chinese Virus seriously though I also support reopening and taking the necessary precautions. There are those who think I'm liberal just for having a mask. There are businesses in this area that openly discourage masks. I do have a MAGA mask though. Trump can't be blamed for economy being bad because we had a strong economy going in, imagine if we had a WEAKER economy going in which would be the case with Hilary as president.

Also most conservatives here seem to not wear masks while the majority of Democrats do. Last time at Walmart less than 10% of shoppers had masks on. And of those, the vast majority were Democrats. And yes here in my part of Louisiana its very easy to guess who is a Democrat just by looking at them.
