Went to Costco today. It was comforting to see EVERYBODY wearing a mask. At stores where it isn't mandatory, compliance rate is about 50% in western Oregon. It's much lower in eastern Oregon.
Forgot to add Independent but leaning liberal.

Yes. Registered Independent. Did not vote for Trump in 2016, but likely will this year.

Independent and yes I wear a mask because it’s required to go into the store. If it wasn’t required I wouldn’t wear one.

The whole mask thing is a joke. I can’t tell you how many times I saw shoppers and employees of the store with masks pulled down or their nose exposed.

Yes we do wear a face mask. Our condo building would like everyone to use a mask in the hallways and elevator. We wear masks in the stores we frequent. Costco=no mask, no entry except for a few exceptions. Most are jerks who use the exceptions. Age 70/73 and just cannot take the risks in not wearing a mask, joke or no joke. Party affiliation is immaterial to masks wearing. But I can guess who are the nonwearers vs the wearers.

And this is why, if you ever find yourself having to enter into a slum area, do it in the morning. There's a window of about two or three hours between when the teenagers drag themselves to school and their baby daddies wake up, during which even the worst slum neighborhoods are reasonably safe.

I keep a mask in the car. I put it on at the entrance of the store and take it off as I exit the store. My political affiliation is the side that gives me the most amount of money for the longest time and for doing the least to get it.

Let’s get real here. Both parties are scumbags. The dems moreso. They only have one trick. Giving free money.

I absolutely refuse to wear a face covering except in situations where it is required by the private business. I don't buy the "asymptomatic carrier" fairy tale that the media and the "experts" have been trying to shove down our throats for some time now.
Fortunately for us, Ohio has not chosen to make masks mandatory outside of your own home. Not sure why there hasn't been more backlash in California, New York, Michigan, and other dictatorships.

Please tell us how you know so much more than formally educated doctors and scientists.

As far as I know, the "ridiculous panic" (toilet paper hoarding) is over. But the pandemic is not.

Question; do you also see condoms as pointless?

Again, I personally don't know anyone who's had coronavirus, none of my family and friends across the entire US and around the world know anyone who's had coronavirus.

I don't know anyone personally who has HIV, none of my family or friends... doesn't make it any less of a deadly virus and doesn't make condoms any less important particularly for casual sex.

Atypical liberal here and admitted ABT voter, (Anybody But Trump) I wear a mask while shopping out of respect for others I may or may not know. Since the mask is mostly for you not spreading the virus if you have it, I would rather err on the side of caution. I am not agraid of getting the virus as much as I am getting the virus and unknowingly spreading it. I would feel positively horrible to know I caused sickness and death
