Translation we have to keep this economic depression going on up to November’s election..
Evil orange man must be defeated at all costs. And if the American people are collateral damage so be it.

We’re liberals and we know what’s best for you!

A consummation devoutly to be wished.

Guesses, guesses, and more guesses.

People over 60 and with medical issues should take precautions.
But the rest of us are going to go on with our lives.

What is your problem with facts? This is data, and statistical modeling. It is neither liberal or conservative. It predicts what would happen under various scenarios. It doesn't tell you what to do about it, much less who to vote for.

To date, such models have been fairly accurate. Back on March 31, when we only had 5000 dead, we were told that even with social distancing we would see between 100,000 and 240,000 deaths. It is now clear that this was correct. We are almost at the low end of that range already. This new model predicts something in the same range.

The model says that the difference between staying shut down and fully reopening is 290,000 - 157,000 = 133,000. The model does not tell us if recovering our economy is worth 133,000 lives. That is a value judgment.

Funny - the model was developed by Wharton School, Trump's alma mater.

I’m in a liberal city and posting on a local app called Next Door. Any post that comes up even hinting at a desire to open up is met with liberal hate. Recently a restaurant opened up in opposition to the state mandate to stay closed. Almost everyone started bashing the owner and the restaurant itself for bad service, food, etc. They are trying to destroy it for having a different opinion as to opening. I find that sad...
