The OP and the GOP apparently don't know when to give up. The e-mail backfired on the R partisans.
Pretending that it helps their cause anyway is puzzlingly ridiculous.

This email shows a responsible administration behaving appropriately...how this is evidence of nefariousness is some crazy nonsense desperation. Double backfire.

Quote:
The email — which was penned by Obama’s national security adviser, Susan Rice, and memorializes a Jan. 5, 2017 Oval Office meeting — does not divulge a sinister plot to spy on Trump’s administration.
Quote:
Republicans seemed to think they were onto something. Desperate to rehabilitate former foreign agent Michael Flynn and smear the Obama administration, GOP officials apparently believed an email former White House National Security Advisor Susan Rice sent to herself in January 2017 would serve as some kind of smoking gun.

What they didn't anticipate was that the smoking gun would point in the wrong direction. Rice's email was fully declassified this week and it referenced the details of an Oval Office meeting from Jan. 5, 2017, in which then-President Barack Obama and his team discussed, among other things, Flynn and his misconduct. The document pointed to a Democratic president who insisted the matter be handled "by the book," and to widely held concerns about Donald Trump's incoming national security advisor and his covert communications -- which he lied about to the FBI -- with the country that had just attacked U.S. elections.

The whole endeavor, in other words, backfired on Republicans. The email that was supposed to make Flynn look good and Team Obama look bad actually did the opposite.

Common sense suggests that when partisans launch a gambit that backfires, they should move on to the next stunt. Republicans prefer to pretend that Susan Rice's email somehow helps their cause, reality be damned.
Quote:
Rice wrote that Comey voiced concern about sharing “sensitive information” relating to Russia with Flynn in light of the FBI learning he had spoken about U.S. sanctions policy with Kislyak and then lied about it to incoming Vice President Mike Pence.

“President Obama asked if Comey was saying that the NSC should not pass sensitive information related to Russia to Flynn,” Rice wrote, using an acronym for the White House National Security Council. “Comey replied ‘potentially.’ He added that he has no indication thus far that Flynn has passed classified information to Kislyak, but he noted that ‘the level of communication is unusual.’”
OP, you guys should stop pretending that this embarrassing gambit was a political success. It is quite the opposite.

Rice was told to do this by WH counsel! She didn't do this on her own accord. Why? The only reason to write an email to yourself on a government policy is to have it entered into official record. The email itself PROVES NOTHING. NOTHING. By the book, my arse.

If anything has failed, it's your quick, jump the gun assertion there's nothing to see because someone wrote an email to themselves. BS.

I worked public sector most of my life and recognized that Rice's email to herself was a CYA move. To believe otherwise is either naive or just refusing to admit your diety Obama is a duplicitous, sanctimonious corrupt Chighanistan politician who had the MSM bussing his posterior for the entire 8 years of his failed administration. Do you recall the song and dance Susan Rice did at the behest of Obama, about the Benghazi fiasco being caused by some obscure video that nobody ever saw?
