Every time I see our current protestors shoulder to shoulder I understand why we have to mandate responsible behavior.
I don’t think there’s a high percentage of Swedes’ who think this virus is a joke.
Having said that it’s about time to adopt their approach. I’ll only be going to restaurants that impose social distancing. I won’t be going to my favorite bar but others should have that right.
The article states that Sweden’s strategy is viable because of their excellent healthcare system.

You are correct, it's due to their healthcare system not being overwhelmed by hospitalizable cases. To attribute that to a particular approach to funding healthcare is to blind oneself to reality.

My father is from Sweden.
I have been watching Sweden much closer than anywhere else, regarding this pandemic.
At this point I wished I had learned to speak and read Swedish when I had the chance, but I did not.
I have friends and relatives there now.
From what I can gather, Swedes are very much aware of this virus, but living life as before for the most part. It seems in some more rural areas is where it is being treated with the social isolation method.
According to the latest from the Johns Hopkins Coronavirus Resource Center:
Sweden has a Case-Fatality Ratio of 11.5%
The USA has a Case-Fatality Ratio of 5.4%
Hmmm .... that is a bit of a difference, no?
Sweden's strategy is essentially the same as that advocated by Rush Limbaugh and to a lesser extent, Donald Trump. And Freak80.
