Handling the Corona Crisis: Florida vs New York (deaths, Miami, compared)

Every day those juveniles who make up the Miami Herald editorial board are attacking Gov. DeSantis and trying to make him look totally incompetent in handling the Corona crisis. But here are the facts: Florida, which has a larger population and a higher % of senior citizens has only a tiny fraction of corona deaths compared to New York.

As of this writing Florida has 2,232 corona deaths vs New York's 28,900. That's right....NY has about 15 times more corona deaths despite the smaller population and fewer elderly!

Mr. DeSantis has been very proactive in trying to protect nursing homes from virus outbreaks, whereas NY Governor Cuomo did just the opposite.....forcing nursing homes to accept corona patients which in turn created outbreaks and thousands of needless deaths.

I just felt need to set the record straight as it seems like every day Mr. DeSantis is being portrayed by the left wing Miami Herald as being incompetent in the way he has handled this emergency. In reality he is doing an outstanding job!
