Most Cherokee (and most enrolled Native American tribal members) probably are more white than Native American. Even at the tribe that I worked for--which has a higher blood quantum requirement than the Cherokee Nation does (the Cherokee Nation only requires that you prove lineal descent from an Indian-by-blood or descendant of their African slaves listed on the Dawes Rolls, whereas the tribe I worked for required that you be at least 1/4 Native American by blood)--most tribal members were predominately white.

Back when I was around 17 or so I was taking an Aikido class and one of the guys there was a few yrs older than me. He was a native American guy. I mean full fledged looking. I know that statisacally speaking he was probably watered down with white blood, but he really looked native.

Guy was cooler than hell and I was envious of him. He was good looking, rocked that cool native look and had long hair.

I thought being a plain old white guy sucked. I never got racism. I say the same about black dudes. Had a couple of black friends growing up and they seemed to have it going on.

Lol.

A native American is anyone who was born here from citizen or legal immigrants. They can be white, black, Asian or of mixed race, etc. There are no special native Americans.
