Most Cherokee (and most enrolled Native American tribal members) probably are more white than Native American. Even at the tribe that I worked for--which has a higher blood quantum requirement than the Cherokee Nation does (the Cherokee Nation only requires that you prove lineal descent from an Indian-by-blood or descendant of their African slaves listed on the Dawes Rolls, whereas the tribe I worked for required that you be at least 1/4 Native American by blood)--most tribal members were predominately white.
