" Sen. Amy Klobuchar (D-MN), as a Minnesota county prosecutor in the early 2000s, refused to prosecute the police officer now at the center of the controversy surrounding the death of George Floyd. Klobuchar, who served as the chief legal officer of Hennepin County, Minnesota, before ascending to the United States Senate, declined to charge Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin for his role in the shooting death of Wayne Reyes in October 2006."
Some people look at this as just opportunism. Many will scoff at the idea that there is alot of anger and rage going on. I don't condone the looting or beating up innocent people. What is apparent is that police brutality is a big problem. Setting the police precinct on fire, this proves the level of anger that exists.
I never watched the video fo Floyd being murdered. However, imagining someone with their knee on my neck trying to kill me scares me. It makes me wonder if the same could happen to me. The fact that said officer hasn't been brought to justice angers me, and it scares me at the same time.
I have no problem going after the police precinct but if people cared they would have prevented Floyds death.

These riots unfortunately make many less sympathetic to their cause. Hispanics face almost as much police brutality as do blacks and you don't see this type of reaction from them. Twenty million whites live in poverty and many whites are unjustly killed by cops but you don't see this type of reaction.
I'm sorry but even those of us who try to make things better for those in these poor communities and sympathize with them have to shake our heads when we realize they are destroying themselves from within.
I will start out by saying the cop deserves to be punished to the fullest extent. That was abuse of power. I'm not defending the guy. What happened was terrible and inexcusable. But why is everybody assuming its racially motivated? George Floyd just happened to be black. It COULD had been racially motivated. But at this point, everybody is just assuming.
And on another note, if the same thing happened to a white man, would there be this much outrage?
Of course there wouldn't be any media driven outrage. Granted the mindless sheep fall for the false race card almost every time.
Listen, if anyone is thinking of protesting this over the weekend I need a 60" TV and the latest iphone if you just happen to be looting a store.
Top dollar paid.
Looks like the protestors were not the only ones busy yesterday.
