Minneapolis is obviously scraping the bottom of the barrel for officers these days.
And citizens too. They deserve each other. It went from a beautiful, safe city to what it is and it’s not even hit bottom yet. Thanks for this, liberals.

And majority of criminals preying on innocent citizens in downtown Minneapolis these days have very dark skin. What is your point?

You know black-on-white violent crime is 7-to-1?

This cop is an idiot, and should get the punishment he deserves. But his race shouldn't be part of people's concerns. The other cop in the video appears Asian, and Geronimo wasn't white.

There's no evidence he resisted arrest.

The claim that he resisted was made by police, and contradicts claims of by-standers viewing the incidence.

Police always lie, if not by omission, then by distortion, exaggeration or outright fabrication, so they can never be trusted. All claims by police require independent corroboration.

The last time I had the misfortune to go downtown Minneapolis was for a Twins game last year. In the past I had no problems but it had been a few years and wow, the change. This poor cop was standing watching all these crazies...one of them was screaming in his face, cop did nothing. That’s what an anti-cop city leadership brings and so are we surprised they snap and do something terrible like what happened to this guy? The cops get no support.

For starters, and without prejudgment of whether this incident was within protocol, some type of homicide, or something else, do not expect police to be any different than MD's, lawyers, trashmen, plumbers, etc.
All are human beings, and just like the rest of us, they can be overly passive or aggressive as their underlying personality.

Therefore, you will get diffusers and head crackers, despite hiring screening/procedures, training, etc.
In reality you need some of each, but preferable both traits rolled into one where they can use logic and reason when needed, but also be able to take down the baddest of the bad.
Needless to say that is a tall order.

I can say that as with anything in life, it is always easier to judge from the sidelines, vs. being in the arena.
Even those even keel critics who imagine being a perfect LEO, might not react well to people spitting in your face, swearing on their parents & children's graves they "didn't do it", or trying to end your life just to get away with a petty crime, and not face the consequences.

I find that picture very suspicious. It really does not look like the same person. The nose, lips and chin aren't the same. His body doesn't match either. The guy with the hat is scrawnier. Also, if one does a little investigating work you can find the Facebook page where that pic is posted. And when you look at his friends on FB it filled with people from overseas. There are people from Nairobi, Haiti, Greece, Mexico, New Zealand and on and on and on. Classic for trolls.

So after digging a little it appears that the guy in the hat is Jonathan Riches, a well known internet troll. This picture is the guy in the hat.

Oh, and a simple search on Snopes also mentions Riches. However, I find it amusing that they say that Talbert Swan's tweet is "mislabeled." Why couldn't use use the word FALSE I don't know.

One really needs to slow down and vet what they find on the internet, especially on social sites.

While his breathing was being restricted, his carotid artery was also being compressed.
I have little doubt the knee to the neck was at least a contributory factor to the suspects death, if not the primary reason.
So while that person might have died anyway within a short period of time due to XYZ, the LEO's actions certainly didn't help whatever underlying condition/s the suspect might have had.

Regardless, even if the LEO was within protocol, this incident must be reviewed to help prevent future injuries/deaths, as restraining a suspect with proper techniques and manpower, should not lead to their demise.

snopes definitely has a problem using the term 'false' in certain situations.

meanwhile, twitter allows that story from Neutie to spread like the WuFlu.

There is another video that has shown him at the time he was first approached by two police officers while still sitting in his vehicle. He's clearly intoxicated, but docile as they remove him from his vehicle, hand cuff him, and first sit him down on the sidewalk.

He remains docile as they move him to their own vehicle, but then they pass out of the frame of the security camera, so we don't know what happens until we see him under the control of two different police officers, one with a knee on his neck (I believe the first two officers are the two reported to be also holding him down behind their vehicle out of view of the cell phone camera).
