My guess is the NYT poll is designed to shock the left into giving Biden the boot. This is where people bet on who will win in 2024. Its a combined poll of anyone running or might be running. So Biden comes in first, Trump close behind and surprisingly Newson in 3rd.

Who will win the 2024 US presidential election?

On a Right wing radio show today they were scaring listeners by floating the idea that Biden will bow out late and Moochelle Obama will parachute in to save the day............... YIKES.

This idea has been making the rounds. The back story is that they are doing it so as not to offend Kamala Harris, who is likely the only person on the planet less qualified than Michelle Obama for any job that requires intelligence.

The problem with Michelle Obama (she/him) not being bright is that she would fare HORRIBLY in a debate of any kind. The only way this would work is if they nominated her so late in the process -- say, the end of summer of 2024 -- to where MO would not have to do any formal debates. She would not survive any other way, and even though the fawning media would want to cover for Michelle, it would be clear that she clearly is no leader.

Dems cannot get enough of identity politics, despite the fact that someone once said we should judge people by the content of their character, and not by the color of their skin.

Both top choices are downright scary. Something really needs to change. Quickly.

Totally depends on who controls the Ballots. Votes don’t matter, only Ballots matter.

Oh, the irony.

I don’t understand that at all. Several posters on this forum (Republicans) have mentioned the possibility of Michelle Obama getting nominated. Us Democrats, and anyone with a brain, knows that’s never happening. It just doesn’t compute.

The two parties control the ballots. That is why 3rd parties do not have a chance.

I do put more stock in PredictIt than in any poll at this point. Maybe Newsom in 3rd is not so surprising, since if Biden drops out, Newsom has probably the best shot at the nomination and then at least a minor chance of beating Trump.

Another interesting point is that PredictIt has Georgia going Democrat, 57-46, which contrary to the latest polls.
