So many of the people who have been in favor of keeping everything shut down as long as they could possibly get away with it are the same people who love local mom & pop business and absolutely hate big businesses. By supporting the shutdowns, they have essentially screwed what they loved and supported what they hate.

The irony of this will most certainly be in the history books one day. I love my local small businesses. It is a shame that so many of them across the country will now be gone and as a result, we will have even more crappy chain stores and restaurants.
Some would argue that those put into an early grave were probably the biggest victims, but you do you.

Even WITH this happening - I expect the next one to be worse. The preparation will be even less - because now we know that our main means of preparation - tracking, tracing, isolation, and PPE - are shunned by many people. I don't expect that will change - but the next time around, folks won't be nearly as patient (if you call 8 weeks patient).

This WAS as good as it gets, preparation-wise.

17.3 million die a year from heart disease. Every year. Where are your crocodile tears for them? Oh yeah, you don't have any because there's no virtue signaling in it for you. Leftists can gen up fake compassion on demand, compassion flimsier than facial tissue.
