The FDA and pharma companies can only support what specific indications a drug is approved for by the FDA.
Of course the FDA says there is no evidence of its effectiveness. There are no double blind studies to prove it.
Doctors use approved meds for indications not listed on the approved labeling A common practice.
If a drug maker promoted a drug for an indication not approved, they would face criminal charges. Same with the FDA and Fauci. No double blind study, so they are not able to comment on the drugs effectiveness for indications not on the drug labeling. For their purpose and position responsibility, hydroxy is not an effective treatment.
For instance, take anti-inffectives. to get approval, the company must prove its effectiveness in specific bugs. A company gets approval for bug 1, 2 and 3. A doctor is able to prescribe that drug for bug 4, 5 and 6 at his discretion. Medicine being an art and a science. The drug works perfectly but if asked the FDA and pharma company cannot promote that use. the FDA must state the drug given by the doctor for bugs 4,5, 6 are ineffective as must the pharma company.
Off label use by doctors is a common practice!
So it is with hydroxychlor....
Every drug has adverse events listed. Watch tv commercials and ask yourself if you would take any of those meds considering the potential adverse effects.
Each med label lists the AEs in order of prevalence with the odd, one off AEs listed last. Since hydroxy is not over the counter a doctor must prescribe it after taking a medical history and considering the contraindicated meds and physical issues.
Any patient on a study must report any AE at a scheduled visit and the company must include that AE in their labeling. no matter the cause, if the AE occurrred while on study drug is becomes part of the safety profile.
Channel 7 broadcast pure destructive propaganda tonight. Propaganda directed by a political agenda. Harmful information to the nation. any journalist worth the name, would have researched the drug approval process. off label use and the legal nuance involved. Not pretend Trump is pushing an ineffective c-19 treatment as if he was selling magic medicine in a travelling side show.
I blame Fauci and friends for not explaining the details and opening themselves up to criticism. The media takes the brunt of blame for intentionally hiding the drug approval process and off label use. The media now has declared itself a public enemy. Before, the claim that the media was the enemy was a bit over the top and could have been better described. With the advent of c-19 the media has declared themselves to be focused on destroying the country by intent.
If we had a free press these problems would not exist. Loss of the free press is far deadlier than scourge that sweeps the nation. the invisible enemy has materialized and it is the left wing propaganda machine, formerly known a s the free press.
Trump spouts off dangerous information all by himself without any help from the media. He is a walking textbook of what not to do in a crisis. He's the "Misinformation President", who's a danger to the country. As Mark Twain once said, "Better to keep silent and be thought a fool than to speak and remove all doubt".
