Supreme Court rejects challenge to limits on church services; Roberts sides with liberals

I lean conservative but so support the ruling. Governments are allowed to set occupancy limits on buildings including churches for safety. Current occupancy limits were based upon fire evacuation for the size of the building and number of exits. Most states have set an occupancy limit of either 1/4 or 1/2 the maximum occupancy during the outbreak. These limits were universal for all buildings including places of worship. Though there is a limit on how many can be within the church at one time that doesn’t mean the church cannot hold multiple church services through their days of service. It isn’t a violation of the first amendment.

Are people slaves to you? Government has no right to tell people what to do on their own private property.

The government has the right to impose restrictions when it's for public health and safety. You can't yell "Fire!" in a crowded movie theater. You can't fill up church pews in the middle of a pandemic. Sounds reasonable to me.

In fact, it does.

If you don't believe me, start printing fake $20 bills in your den. See how much popular support you get when you get busted.

That's because producing funny money negatively affects your neighbors, just as spreading infection does.

Get a grip. Only when your action is causing involuntary harm to other people.

That would depends if that action is voluntary or involuntary.

If you are voluntarily to be inflected, that’s your problem. If you inflect other people without their consent, that’s the government’s problem to sue you for the harms you cause.

Neither requires the government to stampede the right of the house of worship.

There is no such thing. you cannot burn garbage (some states fire laws) - or eat kids or shoot child porn movies, beat your wife, grow weed/poppy seeds- hold illegals as slaves- dig a hole to China- etc ---just because its your personal property...
