For Trump, its all about Trump, and nothing else. Now he is crying about Twitter not allowing him to use their platform to spread misinformation aka propaganda.

President threatens to close social media platforms after accusing Twitter of ‘stifling free speech’ for correcting his post

https://www.independent.co.uk/news/w...-a9534201.html

Donald Trump has threatened social media platforms with tougher restrictions or even closure after accusing Twitter of of meddling in this year’s election and “completely stifling FREE SPEECH” by adding a link to one of his posts - spreading baseless fear-mongering over postal voting - that led his followers to a page where they could “get the facts” on the issue instead.

During a press briefing on the coronavirus pandemic in the White House Rose Garden on Tuesday, the president challenged a Reuters reporter to take off his face mask and mocked him as “politically correct” when he refused to do so.

How does that fit the freedom argument?

He can be frustrated they will put links to articles that may question his statements........but shut them down.

WOW.

Given how censorial and authoritarian Twitter/Facebook/Youtube have become lately, I won't be shedding any tears...

Trump doesn't have the balls to do that. He's all talk.

Can you imagine what the backfire would be if Trump shutdown all social media?

He would for sure guarantee that he'll lose in November.

All because Donald is a whiny little snowflake who can't deal with Twitter taking action to correct his false statements. Essentially, Twitter will not allow him to lie anymore, and Trump cant' deal.

Shutting down Twitter would be just the start.

Trump needs to build an empire of unbiased, uncensored, incorruptible media as soon as he is free to do so, in 2025.

You should be shedding tears when the government threatens to do something like this just because a politician had his feeling hurt.

Why am I not surprised to hear you advocate for government ran media? The soviets had it, so you want it too.
