Thanks for posting this very pertinent speech and commentary on what has become a powerful influencer in today's world. One quote that Cohen cited, seems most notable, from the author known as Voltaire, from about 250 years ago: "Those who can make us believe absurdities, can make us commit atrocities".
It would not be an easy or simple task to make social-media giants of the Internet abide by the same standards, as other media have had to do in previous times. But Cohen is placing the blame where it is due and we need to invent new means to deal with the old problem of preventing malicious mistruths to flourish unchecked, without repressing free speech in doing so. Indeed a difficult thing, but necessary or we could become swallowed by the abundance of falseness that is growing fast.

SBC is quite intelligent and can be very serious, after attending Haberdashers' Aske's Boys' School, he read History at Christ's College, Cambridge , and he started performing af Footlights .
