Good. If they apply the same standard that they do to ordinary members, he will be banned in very short order. Bring it on.

Mostly he uses it to spread lies and insults. He abuses the terms of service repeatedly.

We can have differences of opinion on policy, and we all are free to express ourselves on the issues of the day, but that's not the problem with Trump on Twitter.

He libels people, spreads hoaxes and all kinds of misleading falsehoods and in this latest spate of heartless tweets has managed to dredge up yet another sad and tragic death to falsely accuse someone of murder. We have never had a president quite like him. The man has no sense of honor.

If this was any other person the miscreant would have been banned a long time ago.

Exactly. What Trump and his supporters refuse to admit is Twitter has been ridiculously lenient with Trump. Even now, they still haven't banned him and they really should.

LOL they will never ban him. They LOVE him. He brings SO much more traffic to the site. They actively promote his Tweets all day long, even to people who don't follow him, and most news outlets treat his Tweets like news stories every single day.

I agree with you. Just let them all die - they do nothing positive for anyone. People are so glued to social media, they believe everything they see on there, no one fact checks the "fact checkers", and you can bet that if the tables were turned, those who were fact checked would also be braying from their accounts about it...oh, actually, that has happened many times when people fact check the talking media heads - Brian Stelter has a melt down almost daily.

But, really, none of it is useful. I haven't posted or read anything on my Twitter account in months. I'm not even interested anymore.

Facebook - I view that as a gaggle of hens, male and female Karens, who act like high school was the best thing that ever happened to them. It's repulsive, really.

Not into Instagram ho bags..."influencers" (who edit their photos constantly - the majority of them look nothing like their fake photos).

Even YouTube is starting to bore me. It's nothing but "influencers" getting into fights, then you have the "tea" channels (ie: the gossiping busy bodies who chat over the 'internet fence' (as I call it), sticking their nose into other people's business to feel important), making money off of these fights, but act like they're providing a public service, all the way down to the people in the comments who are so out of touch with reality that they freak out when they get a lot of "likes" on their comments. You see it so much anymore as they edit their comment later: "OMG you guys! Thanks for all the likes! Keep liking so that others can see!!"

Their entire world revolves around how much other people "like" what they say, and "like" their images or photos.

Self esteem is out the window. Self worth is out the window. Self awareness is out the window. Knowing who you are is out the window. Being yourself is out the window.

Mob mentality is all over the place because of all of the above. Social media is no longer a good tool for anyone - it's the bottom of the cess pool of humanity.

Ban him. Let the circus play. He is his own enemy.

These people are not the President speaking lies, re-tweeting other people's lies (an endorsement), intentionally spreading misinformation, repeating debunked conspiracy theories, threatening people, inciting others to threaten people, repeating threats by others (again, an endorsement), verbally attacking people, spreading false rumors and innuendo, applying disparaging names to critics or opponents, and disparaging allies and foreign countries. This is all done in his official and immune capacity as President, not liable or accountable for his statements while in office. He is uniquely privileged in this way. He is not immune to correction or fact checking, however. So now he is trying to push the envelope, once again, to broaden his privileges by silencing criticism or fact checking. This by threatening action against social platforms that he abuses. They should just shut him down. That really is to his benefit because he is his own worst enemy when tweeting every day. He is too stupid and narcissistic to realize it.
