Reacting to the riots in Minneapolis in the wake of the police involved death of George Floyd, actor Armie Hammer said the “current iteration of law enforcement” is “inherently evil.”
“Anyone who doesn’t think the current iteration of law enforcement isn’t inherently racist, or doesn’t understand why black people are disproportionately targeted, assaulted, and killed,” the Lone Ranger and Call Me By Your Name actor said, “should look up the history of the word patrolman/pattyroller. This **** isn’t new.”
I don't know. I guess we get to find out if an angry unruly mob is any less evil. Since they are driven mostly by emotion and cannot be reasoned with, my guess is no.
Hammer has described his background as "half Jewish."[7] His paternal great-grandfather was oil tycoon and philanthropist Armand Hammer, whose parents were Jewish immigrants to the U.S. from the (then) Russian Empire, and were of Ukrainian Jewish descent; Armand's father, Julius Hammer, was from Odessa (now in Ukraine, but then in the Russian Empire), and founded the Communist Party in New York.
Does this Jewish-Communist tycoon's son have any public record of similar opinions of Israeli military and police for their long-time confinement and abuse of Palestinians?
If not, he seems to be among the worst of the hypocrites.
Is there anything worse, or more "America 2020", then being morally lectured at by someone who meets the contradictory trifecta of being a wealthy / communist / ethnonationalist?
This one also happens to come from extreme family political power.
The comments are amusing! Glad they gave a bio for the guy because this is another one that crawled out of a hole that I never heard of - seems most who commented didn't know him either but one did quite extensive research on the family and that in itself is a good read.
